I included all the file inside the database (like for FBA) - but not the BIOS - to respect the full romset (but, for personal use, I cleaned my romset at 1990 file :D). I decided for mame2003 (mame 0.78) because is the only mame core that works on all the platform (also on Rpi). Using the dat files provided on the Retropie wiki using the most up to date set of MAME roms, clrmamepro gave me a set that is missing many of what I would consider must haves. Additionally on the Neo Geo and FBA sets, it is a 50-50 as to whether the rom works or not. Can someone help me get some better sets?

So I then decided to download a full ROM set. I found a ROM set that was up to date -created 9/25/19- when i extracted the zip file, i found that it was a .DAT file. This is where I get lost. After a couple days of digging/ researching, the only thing I've been able to accomplish is opening the .DAT file in a program called Romulus.
